Tom Johns Visit

Our long time friend Tom John was in town this past week and stopped by to visit us here in St. George. Tom and I met originally back in the early 90's at Langley Ward (Singles congregations) in Northern Virginia. He and Mark met in the mid 90's as well. Tom is so fun to talk to ... as he has so many wonderful stories to tell from his life experiences to the backgrounds of so many people he has met. He recalled helping me to slim-jim my old Sentra after church one Sunday as apparently I had locked myself out. I remember going to a birthday party for him and he told me that he had socks older than me! We laughed about some of our old stories and enjoyed lunch together. Tom joined the church some time ago and his life has changed 360 degrees! He was married about 8 years ago and loves his dear Sandra. This is a silly picture of Max ... but he sure had fun talking and playing with Tom for a couple of hours. Thanks for stopping by Tom!

Creamers Visit

I was so excited last week to get a call from Julie & Nathan Creamer, our friends from Virginia. They were in Las Vegas and on their way north to Salt Lake City and wanted to come visit us. I was so excited to visit with them and to meet their little boy Jack. Max and Evan played together just like last summer and never missed a beat. After lunch we went to a park down the street where lots of energy could be burned up. It is always fun to see friends especially when we have been apart for some time. We hope to see them again in April during Mark's next R&R trip home. We miss you Creamers!!

Play Date

Danny & Kate Norton came over one day last week while their mom went off to Girls Camp. We had so much fun! Swimming was a hit for the both boys and Kate enjoyed dipping her feet in the pool. After swimming, the kids were tuckered out and had great naps! Here is the proof!

A Day for Splashing!

Dallin & Kenzi came over today for a few hours to splash around. We found swim suits and extra t-shirts and everyone had a great time. Here are a few shots from today. The kids had more fun with the water guns than jumping through the water sprinklers. The video at the end is so cute. All three kids were singing Families Can Be Together Forever which turned out great! Enjoy the pictures!

Kenzi ... needing a sip ... but she was so happy to have her own water gun!

Dallin & Max giving me their best water gun faces! They were so happy!

All three monkeys having a good time!

During lunch we were singing the ABC song, Families Can Be Together, I Love to See the Temple, Popcorn Popping. This video is the best of all three of them. Enjoy! We are so sad to see the Pratts moving but, we were happy to have one good play date with them! We love Dallin & Kenzi!

MS Walk

Yesterday we participated in the 3 mile MS walk at Sherando High School. We were part of the Friends of John Ferrulli Team which helped raise over $1600. John is a member of our bishopric in our ward and we have been privileged to get to know their family. In this picture you see John, Karla, his wife, Christina & Justin. Their other kids are off at BYU Idaho and will be home later this spring. While it was a long three miles with both Justin & Max we were glad to have helped supported this walk. We hope that a cure will be found sooner than later and that all who suffer from MS will have help sooner than later.

Happy Easter 2009

After church yesterday, our friends came over to enjoy the afternoon with us. We had a really tasty dinner (the BEST ham I have ever had) and then we had the boys search out some eggs in our backyard. The kids were so fun to watch - especially once we decided we had "recovered" all 30 eggs and let them just sit in the grass and eat their treats! Then we colored eggs and enjoyed a bowl of strawberries and ice cream! Yum! Here are a few pictures from the afternoon.

Sweet Evan going to town on that plastic egg!

Julie took this picture - cool to have a black & white photo!
Easter morning ... fireman hat & more cars stickers!

Happy New Year!

Guitar Hero at its best! Charlie Singing his heart out!

The kids are rockin' out!

Cute Sadie!

Max & Darren - Singing and Rockin'!

Our new ward rock band!

Our friends invited us over to celebrate the new year on the 1st. We had a delicious dinner and had a good time playing guitar hero! The kids had so much fun with the guitars, drums, microphone and all of Darrens electronics! All day long we had been telling Max that he was going to need to take a nap before we could go to the party .... so finally here he is asleep ... in his baby whale hat that he insisted on wearing all day. A cute sleeping angel.
